Susan Theresa Koehler, daughter of Michael and Katherine Nessel Koehler, was born in Nauvoo, December 21, 1873. She was baptized nad confirmed in Christ Lutheran church here and remained a member until her death. She was also a member of the Lutheran Ladies' Aid and of the Nauvoo Home Bureau.

She was married to John Marzolf on April 10, 1901.

Mrs. Marzolf was noted for her cheerful disposition and her kindly, sympathetic nature. She was devoted to her home and worked hard and was always ready to administer to the wants of the needy.
