First son named in father's will. He served in the Revolution as private in Captain Squire Millard's Co., Colonel Waterman's Regt. of Rhode Island militia, from December 4, 1776 to January 9, 1777; July to October, 1781, was paid for his services by town of Warwick, where he then dwelled.
