- Clack, Sterling - entered service 1776 in Virginia; born 11/7/1759; granted Pension 1830 in Sumner County, Tennessee; died 11/6/1837; married 8/17/1780 to Mary/Polly, daughter of Bennett Woods, Warren County, North Carolina; widow born 11/22/1766, & granted Pension 1839 in Sumner County, Tennessee; family bible damaged, & children's birth dates mostly unreadable; Nancy 11/5/17--, Eldridge, William, Bennett died 10/22/1796, John Twitty, & James Caller; affidavit in 1839 by John Baynes, Sumner County, Tennessee, that his sister married brother of soldier's wife Mary.
