    Clack, Sterling, was a burgess from Burgess county in the assembly of 1748-1749. He was the son of James Clack, of Brunswick county, who was the son of Rev. James Clack (q. v.) of Ware parish, Gloucester county. He was clerk of Brunswick county from 1740 to 1751. He married Anne Eldridge, daughter of Thomas Eldridge, and died in 1757.
