Stephen Gogets, 79, of Greensburg, died Monday, Aug. 22, 2016, at Weatherwood Manor, Hempfield Township. He was born April 18, 1937, in Mt. Pleasant, a son of the late Steve and Anna (Mott) Gogets. Prior to retirement, he worked for the Municipal Authority of Westmoreland County, Greensburg, and was an Army veteran. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, M. Phyllis (Loughner) Gogets. He is survived by two daughters, Peggy Konecny, of Latrobe, and Amy Dunmyre and husband, G. Rodney, of Tucson, Ariz.; three grandchildren, Cara Cone and husband, Garrett, David Dunmyre and wife, Kristin, and Kristen Konecny; two great-granddaughters, Emily and Ella Cone; his sister, Anna Mary Hovermill, of Donegal; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and a good friend, Richard Konecky.
Friends will be received from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the LEO M. BACHA FUNERAL HOME INC., 2072 Route 130, Pleasant Unity, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday.
Interment will follow in Westmoreland County Memorial Park, Hempfield Township.
