Stephen E. Drown Nov. 20, 1950 -- Oct. 10, 2004

Stephen Drown, 53, of Fremont died late Sunday evening at St. Francis Heal th Care Centre in Green Springs.

Stephen was born in Fremont to Doyle and Margaret (Gillmor) Drown. He grad uated from Ross High School with the class of 1970 and served the U.S. Arm y's 101st Airborne Division, with a tour of duty in Vietnam from 1971 to 1 973.

Stephen was a mechanic for most of his life working for the Bowlus Trucki ng CO as well as other trucking firms.

Surviving are sons, Jeremy Drown of Fremont and Ryan Drown of Toledo; daug hter, Melissa Drown of Toledo; mother, Margaret Drown of Fremont; siste r, Donna (Ron) Shoemaker of Fremont; and brother, Dennis (Diane) Dro wn of Walbridge. He is preceded by his father, Doyle, and sister, Shirl ey Oliver.

Stephen enjoyed spending time on his boat and had a great love of fishin g.

Visitation: 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday from Keller-Ochs-Koch Fu neral Home, 416 S. Arch St.

Services: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hayes Memorial United Methodist Church, 1 441 Fangboner Road, where Mr. Drown will lie in state from 9:30 a.m. unt il the time of services. The Rev. Duane Smith is officiating.

Burial: Oakwood Cemetery with military graveside services by the VFW and A merican Legion.

Memorials: Cancer Society or Hospice of Memorial Hospital.
