[JohnCrow.ftw] Have picture of grave marker for Stephen Crow Have picture of front door of Mars Hill Baptist Church. It was established in 1799. Stephen was a Rev Sol. -Ga. Stepen and Margaret are buried in Mars Hill Baptist Church Cemetery., near Athens, Ga. Cemetery is in Oconee Co. Have copy of some of Clark Co., Ga. probated wills, one of which is Stephen Crow's. This copy was sent to Joe M. Crow in August 1997 by Merle Crowe. This will lists the following children: Abner, Eli, Rachel, Joshua and Aaron Martin, another son was not listed in this for whatever reason. Transcript of will lists the following as heirs: Wife - Margaret Children - Abner, Eli, Rachel Burnett, Joshua, Martin and Aaron. 4. STEPHEN3 CROW (JAMES2 JOHNI) Source: (1) Will of Stephen Crow June 8 th, 1830, Clarke County, Georgia In The Name of God Amen I Stephen Crow of the County and State aforesaid do make this my last will and testament in manner following: 1st. I wish all my just debts paid. 2nd I give to my wife Margaret Crow the tract of land whereon I now live with all the adjointing tracts that I now own containing three hundred and ninety three acres.I also give to my said wife three negroes (To wit) Nancy,Ned, and William and all my household and kitchen fliruiture and all my plantation utensials and two cows and calves and cart and steers and two choice horses and all the money I have on hand at the time of my death and fifteen choice hogs. 3rd I give to my son Abner crow my negro girl,Salley 4th I give to my son Eli Crow my negro woman,Coney and her child Bob and all the increase said Conney has had since the birth of said child Bob. 5th I give to my daughter Rachel Burnett the tract of land whereon she now lives containing one hundred and sixty acres more or less during her natural life and at her death the land to be sold and her children to have one sixth part of the proceeds of the sale thereof and the remainder to be equally divided betwixt my other five children or their representatives.! give to my daughter Rachel Burnett my negro woman Dilcey forever. 6th I give to my son Joshua Crow my negro girl Mary and a note I hold on him for Forty two dollars and Fifty cents given the 26th day of June, 1826 payable on 25th day of December thereafter. 7th I give to my son Martin Crow my negro boy Sam. 8th I give to my son Aaron Crow my negro girl Caroline 9th The residue of my property I wish sold and the procedes thereof divided among my children. 10th And lastly I constitute and appoint my wife Margaret Crow Issac Crow and William Stroud my Executors to this my last will and testament.
