THE SHOALS NEWS July 23, 1915 Stephen Brothers was born in Noble County, Ohio, Oct 5, 1837. Died July 16, 1915, age 77 years 9 months and 12 days. He was united in marriage to Martha Vandine Nov 29, 1863. To this union were born 14 children, 7 boys and 7 girls of which 6 boys and 5 girls survive. Funeral services were held at Scarlett Chapel Monday morning conducted by Rev. G. A. Stiles, after which the remains were laid to rest in Batchelor Cemetery.

He died while he was a patient at the Evansville State Mental Hospital.
