Obituary, Parsons Sun, Parsons, KS: CHETOPA - Stella M. (Peck) Tullis, 90, of Chetopa, a longtime Welch, Okla., resident, died at 9:55 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 3, 2004, at Chetopa Manor after an illness. She was born Aug. 19, 1913, in North Miami, Okla., to John H. and Mary F. (Wright) Peck. She was a graduate of Commerce High School. She married Loyd Tullis on Nov. 19, 1938, in Neosho, Mo. They owned and operated a farm near Welch. He preceded her in death on Oct. 4, 2003. She was a member of Welch Baptist Church. Survivors include one son, Dale Tullis and his wife, Linda, of rural Welch; one daughter, Shirley Lester and her husband, Bill, of Welch; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and 11 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by four brothers and a stillborn daughter. The service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Welch Baptist Church with the Rev. C.G. Gillmore officiating, assisted by Loyd Carder and Tim Perkins. Burial will be in Lake Creek Cemetery in Bartlett. Friends may cll from 7 to 8 p.m. today at Thomas Funeral Home in Welch.
