His name on his birth certificate is Harry Stanley, but he used Stanley Harry.

He grew up in Brooklyn and served in the Army.

We worked for teh Daily News and retired with a back injury. He also worked as an upholster.

Moved to Vero Beach, FL in 1986

Although he felt God calling at an early age (13), he did not repsond until the end of his life. After Jean’s death, he attended Calvary Church. When he moved to New York, he attended Copaigue Christian Church, where he was loved.

He always feared death, even with his faith. Just days before his death, he spoke of an encounter with God - an experience of personal communication. He was no longer afraid. This was the greatest and most meaningful event in his life.

He loved to dance. He enjoyed people. He embraced education, learning. But, in the end, it was answering to the call of God made years ago - that brought him the peace and life he always struggled for.
