Standa M. Clauss, 85, formerly of the Lehighton area, died Friday in Brookmont Health Care Center, Effort. She was the wife of the late Tilghman Clauss. She was a sewing machine operator for various local mills before retiring many years ago. Born in Weissport, she was a daughter of the late Thomas and Sara (Solt) Dorward.
Survivors: Daughters, Jean, wife of Sam Delaney of Savannah, Ga., Betty Lou, wife of Charles Barlosky of Lehighton, and Margaret Ann Rose of Reading, and seven grandchildren.
Services: 2 p.m. Tuesday, Andrew P. Ovsak Funeral Home, 4th and Iron streets, Lehighton. Call 1-2 p.m. Tuesday.
