Birth: 18 Sep 1825 in sackets harbor, n.y.
Death: 15 Dec 1899 in cloverdale, calif.
It is not clear why the birth place is given as Sackets Harbor, when census records imply that his parents lived in Ellisburg from the time of their marriage until their deaths. However, it is possible that the family moved around a bit between censuses, or that the child was born away from home for some reason.
