    Dale Jackson, 91, was the son of Hester and Lela Wright Jackson. He was a 1935 graduate of Owensburg High School. He graduated from Central Normal with a bachelor's degree and received his Master of Education degree from Indiana State University in Terre Haute.

    He lived in Boswell from 1940 to 1959 and resided in West Lebanon, Indiana until returning to Boswell in 1968.

    His first marriage was to Enid A. Sigler in December, 1942. She preceded him in death in September 1984. He later married Catherine "Kate" Barrett Finley in February 1986, and she preceded him in death in April, 2006.

    He served in the Army during World War II and later during the Korean War.

    Mr. Jackson first taught at Boswell High School and then became the principal at Ambia, Indiana. He was the first principal at Seeger High School, serving for nine years. Before retiring he was the principal at Boswell Elementary School.

    He was a member of Boswell United Methodist Church and Masonic Lodge 352, West Lebanon. He enjoyed woodworking and coin collecting. He enjoyed spending his winters in Florida from 1978 to 1999.

    Surviving are, a son, Stuart Jackson (wife: Della) a daughter, Joetta (Howard) Feuer, a stepson, Ed (Gloria) Finley, two brothers, Logan and Fred Jackson and a sister, Ruth Spoonmore, nine grandchildren, Chad Feuer, Ryan Feuer, Tracy Mikalik , Trent Lorton and Mardell Rodriguez and sixteen great-grandchildren.

    Dale was preceded in death by a brother, Uland Jackson.
