    BOSWELL -- Catherine J. "Kate" Barrett Finley Jackson, 83, of Boswell, died at 5:45 a.m. Friday, April 14, 2006, at The Waters of Covington.

    Born in Brownstown on Aug., 22, 1922, she was the daughter of Hollice and Janette Gowen Barrett and a 1941 graduate of Boswell High School.

    She married Dale Jackson on Feb. 7, 1986, and he survives.

    Mrs. Jackson was a life resident of Boswell. She worked as a waitress and on a farm with Robert Finley, her husband, who preceded her.

    She was a member of the Boswell United Methodist Church and enjoyed flower gardening and farming.

    Surviving with her husband are a son, Edward Finley (wife: Gloria) of Covington; five brothers, Joe Barrett (wife: Betty) of North Manchester, Jack Barrett (wife: Margaret) of Lafayette, Frank Barrett (wife: Velma) of Ambia, Tom Barrett (wife: Mary Lou) of Boswell, and Bill Barrett (wife: Jody) of Pine Village; and three sisters, Mary Waukechon (husband: John) of San Antonio, Texas, Hazel Henry of Martinsville and Stella Gillen of Brook.

    Catherine has gone to be with her Lord. Visitation from 5-8 p.m. (EDT) Monday at Grady Funeral Home in Williamsport with service there 10 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Charles B. Anderson and Pastor Bob Hamblen officiating. Interment will be at Boswell Cemetery. She loved her family. Also surviving are 7 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by 2 daughters, Kay Lorton and Peggy Finley; 3 sisters, Dorothy Newtson, Louise Baumgardt and Elsie McMann. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association. Services entrusted to Grady Funeral Home.
