1941 - The following obituary notice for Sophia Holloway appeared in the Colac Herald (exact date not known, but probably about 26 September 1941): Mrs Sophia E. Holloway - The death took place suddenly on Monday of Mrs Sophia Ellen Holloway, wife of Mr. Stanley Holloway, at the age of 36 years. Born at Birregurra the deceased was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs William J. Mingaye who have resided in Birregurra for many years. In addition to her husband she leaves a daughter, Lynette, and to them the sympathy of all is extended. The interment took place at the Warncoort Cemetery yesterday afternoon and a large and representative gathering assembled to pay their last tribute of respects. Prior to the cortage leaving her parents' residence prayers were offered by the Rev. J. J. Walsh. The coffin bearers were Messrs Len Robb, Edward Comerford (brothers-in-law), Leo Irvine, Bert Drewry, Ernest Kelly (cousins) and Jack Keating. The pall-bearers being Messrs J. Holloway (father-in-law), Les Holloway (brother-in-law), J. Curry (uncle), J. Hallett, F. Hauenstein (cousins), S. McDonald, W. Rowe, Jas Dorman and Cr. K . Campbell. The Rev. Father D. O'Brien officiated at the graveside and the mortuary arrangements were made by Mr. George Granet James.

She is buried with an Arthur MINGAYE, possibly her brother.
