  8. ↑ Sopia's name and birth date were recorded in the St. Peters churchbooks in the Town of Addison, Washington County, Wisconsin, but her parents weren't named. We wondered if she was a child of Ernst and Sophia Rosenthal. Instead, it was determined that she was probably a daughter of Heinrich and Charlotte (Rosenthal) Heiland because the given name and birth date are the same. Her surname, however, was recorded as that of the mother rather than the father.
    In her letter of 12 Mar 1988, Jeanette wrote,
    "Sophia Hennitte (Henritta) Heiland
    B. 19 Jan 1855 Confirmed: 28 May 1867
    Parents: Hennich & Charlotte Heiland Rosenthal.
    This is from Birth record & Conf. record - St. Peter's - both have parents listed as above."
