BIOGRAPHY: A Genealogy of the Potter Family originating in Rhode Island By Rev. Jeremiah Potter Phenix, R. I.: John H. Campbell, Book and Job Printer 1881 - Page 26 Deliverance Potter, daughter of Robert and Sarah Potter, of Scituate, married Solomon Taylor, of Scituate, but soon died. Have no date of her death. She was born April 23rd, 1763. Sarah Potter, sister to Deliverance, married Solomon Taylor, for his second wife, about 1791. Mr. Taylor resided on Burnt Hill, Scituate, and was the nearest neighbor to my father and he was a very genial man. He often visited my father. He was full of life and a thorough business man. He was a farmer and owned quite a large tract of land and a sawmill or two in connection. He became pious and united with the Baptist Church in Scituate, which connection he retained until his death. His wife also belonged to the same church. They were both honorable and upright. Their deaths were lamented by all who knew them.
