The date given here, 2 Sep 1870, is found in several secondary sources online (e.g., "September%202,%201870%22 here) having no indication if there is any basis, or they have all just copied from each other. Indicative of the lack of apparent basis is the Find A Grave memorial under the name Salmon, giving a date 5 Sep 1870 but having no gravestone image. Credible sources are needed.
