The book "Genealogies and Family History of the State of Connecticut" by William R. Cutter (published by Lewis Historical Publishing Company, New York, 1911) provides some information on this family on page 2125:

"(VI) Simon (3), son of Simon (2) Wade, was born November 22, 1767. He married, before 1790, Phebe Horton, born May 7, 1772, and lived at Foster. Children: James, born December 10, 1791; Catharine October 12, 1793: Sarah, October 23, 1798; Arnold, June 26, 1800; Olive, September 23, 1802; Miranda, June 25, 1804; Fenner, March 30, 1807; Lawton, mentioned below."

The source for this information is probably Henry Lawton Wade, son of Lawton Wade and grandson of Simon Wade, who is the subject of this biography.

In the 1820 US Census, the Simon Wade family resided in Glocester, Providence County, Rhode Island (National Archives Microfilm Series M33, Roll 117, Page 33). The household included one male under age 10, one male age 10-16, one male age 16-26, one male over age 45, two females age 16 to 26, two females age 26 to 45, and one female over age 45.

In the 1850 US Census, Simon Wade (age 81, male, a laborer, born Foster RI) resided in Killingly township, Windham County, Connecticut (National Archives Microfilm M432, Roll 51, Page 339, Line 38) with his son Lawton Wade.

Simon Wade died 26 April 1857 in Killingly CT at age 89 years, 5 months, of old age. He was white, a farmer, resided Killingly, born in Foster RI (Killingly CT Births, Marriages, Deaths, Volume 2, 1849-1881, page 480).
