Facts and Events
Carpenter at Petersboro in 1802. Bought 303 acres of land 1 mile from the village of Kelsey's Corners. Had a tavern at Petersboro from 1812 to 1813. Member of the Masonic Lodge in 1813, Postmaster at Petersboro in 1814. Moved to Clockville in 1819. Paymaster in Biclmell's Battalion of Riflemen in 1820, Assemblyman, 1827. He was a very prominent man in the County and died at the home of his son-in- law Harrison Chapman. |
