    Dr. John Marsh and Silas Estee settled near Eden Valley in 1810 and MORRIS mARCH, SON OF THE FORMER, informs me that there were just 4 families in town hen they came. When the two families came in Marxch they had to draw theit Wagons by hand across the 18 mile at Water Valley, where a sawmill was about to be erected.
