Sidney Green 1877-1972 Milton Newspaper Obituary "The Milton Courier", Milton, Wisconsin, Thursday, July 27, 1972, p 4. Sidney Green, 95, longtime Milton area resident and retired farmer, died Tuesday, July 25 at Colonial Manor, Janesville, where he had resided since Feb. 1972 due to ill health. The son of Lyman and Melissa Goodrich Green was born in Jefferson county. He was married to Eva Crandall Feb. 26, 1919 in Janesville and the couple farmed on Rt. 1, Milton Junction until retiring in 1951 and moving to Milton Junction. He was a member of the Faith United Methodist Church. Surviving are his wife who lives at the Sherman Home in Janesville; a daughter, Mrs. Warren (Dorothy) Hinton, Janesville; one son Paul, Fort Dodge, Iowa; 5 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and a sister, Miss Minnie Green, Janesville. Preceding him in death was a daughter Ruth in 1946 and a brother and two sisters. Funeral services were to be held today, Thursday, July 27 at 1:30 p.m. from the Albrecht Funeral Home with Rev. William Riggs, pastor of First United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was to be in the Milton Junction Cemetery. References
