from the Big Bend Empire 15 January 1920 ORCHARD ROMANCE ENDS AT ALTER

On Wednesday, January 7th, at Everett occurred the marriage of Iris M. Richards of this city [Waterville Washington], and Sidney J. Grandy of Orondo. The bride is the daughter of Ira C. and Emma J. RIchards, a graduate of the local high school and for a time was employed at the local telephone office.

The wedding was the culmination of a romance which had for its setting the apple orchards and packing houses about Orondo where acquaintance opened into friendship, and friendship into matrimony. They will be at home in Orondo after February 2.
