NOTE FROM TALK WITH SHIRLEY TURNER (DAUGHTER OF lESLIE TURNER - NIECE OF AGNES TURNER CARLSON) "In 1936 Aunt Agnes came from Oregon for a visit. When she left, she took me, Aunt Marie Kirschner and Marie's son Bobby back to Oregon for a visit for a week. (Shirley wasn't sure but thought that possibly Alice Hier went too.) " They all had passes on the railroad. While in Oregon they went to visit Agnes' daughter Ruth and her son Clarence. Shirley got bored with all the talking and was upset that she did not get to go fishing in the Columbia River. She remembers that at a later time, her mother and father went to Oregon to visit and her father (Leslie) caught salmon in the Columbia River. (Note-Shirley would rather fish than do anything else from time a small child until the day she died.) Flags: 0 |
