Shirley Colleen (Baugh) Tullis Shirley Colleen (Baugh) Tullis, 70, of Carthage, Mo., died at 11:20 a.m., Friday, Feb. 24, 2006, at St. John?s Regional Medical Center, Joplin, Mo.

Mrs. Tullis was born May 16, 1935, in Carthage. She was a homemaker and worked many years with children at Head Start, Hominy, Okla., CP Center, Carthage as director and teacher?s aide at Columbian School, Carthage. She also worked at Leggett & Platt, Munsingwear, Hominy and retired from the records department at McCune Brooks Hospital, Carthage.

She and James O. Tullis were united in marriage June 17, 1954, in Carthage. Mr. Tullis survives.

Other survivors include two sons, James M. and Betty Tullis, Oronogo, Mo., and Cha` and Teena Tullis, Hominy; a daughter, Angelia Tullis, Dallas, Texas; mother, Bessie Myers, Webb City; grandchildren, Jim Bob Tullis, Atlanta, Ga., Charlie and Casey Tullis, Oronogo, Sallem and Sheldon Tyler and Tiercy and Gary Brown, Hominy, Chasin D. Tullis, Whiteman Air Force Base, Warrensburg, Mo., Leigh Yeager, New York City and Lauren Yeager, Kansas City, Mo.; great-granddaughters, Sydnie Tyler and Codie Brown, Hominy; sisters, Blanche Flesher and husband, George, Janice Cole and husband, Larry, Reatha Jeffries and husband, Kenny, all of Carthage and Beverly Comer and husband, Lamont, Springfield, Mo.; brothers, Homer and Marguerite Baugh, Kenneth and Ida Mae Baugh, Dick and Joanie Baugh, John and Judy Baugh, Ben and Chris Baugh and Jeff Myers, all of Carthage; and several nieces and nephews, many cousins and great-nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents, Homer M. and Rosella Baugh, Carthage, George Myers, Reeds; two brothers, Larry Baugh and Albert Myers.

Graveside memorial services will be held Monday at 4 p.m. at Hackney Cemetery, rural Carthage.

Services are under the direction of Ulmer Funeral Home, Carthage.
