    Shirley HENSON(1918 - 2018)
    HENSON (Ballinger), Shirley Mae Age 99 and one half, of Berkeley Square died at Fort Hamilton Hospital on Sunday, July 15, 2018. Daughter of John and Emily (Coyle) Ballinger, Shirley was born December 29, 1918 in Union County, Indiana, while her father was in France with the U. S. Army. She attended Hamilton public schools and graduated from Hamilton High in 1936 , and later graduated from Hamilton Business College. On December 19, 1940 she married J. Paul Henson. They lived in Hamilton until moving to Phoenix, Arizona in 1957. She worked at A. Benzing & Son Construction, at the Butler County Court House, and in Phoenix at the Equitable Life Assurance Company. They were lifelong members of the First Baptist Church in Hamilton and the First Baptist Church in Phoenix. Shirley was active and held several offices in the American Baptist Women's Ministries. In 1987 they returned to Hamilton. They traveled extensively throughout the United States until Paul died in 1996. She is survived by her brother Glen (Carole) Ballinger of Seven Mile, nieces Jayne (Dennis) Giuliano, Carolyn (Craig) Stoll and Karen Ballinger, and nephews John Stricker, Michael Lunsford, and Kenneth (Martha) Ballinger, grand-nieces Christyna (John) Parr, Emily Giuliano, Nichole (Bryan) Mattingly, Courtney Ballinger, Mei Ballinger, Lucy (Jeff) Grant and Dani Lunsford, grand-nephews Mathew Giuliano, John Stoll, Michael Stoll, Timothy Lunsford, Gregory (Sandy) Ballinger and great grand-niece Madelyn Grant, great grand-nephews Nova Ballinger, Braxton Grant and Owen Lunsford. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul, sisters Audrey Walsh, JoAnn Stricker and Jean Lunsford, brother Jack Ballinger, and nephews Joel Lunsford, Daniel Lunsford and Timothy Lunsford. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Weigel Funeral Home, 980 N. W. Washington Blvd, Hamilton, Ohio 45013 with Mr. Jack Young officiating. Visitation will be held from 9:30 until time of service. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 1501 Pyramid Hill Blvd, Hamilton, OH 45013.
