Funeral services for Sherman Mixon, 71, of 9428 Primrose, willbe at 11:30 a.m. today in the Marshall Street Chapel of the Rose-NeathFuneral Home with the Rev. Charles Hutzler, pastor of Brookwood Baptist Churchofficiating. Burial will be in Centuries Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Mixon died Monday in Willis-Knighton Hospital after a longillness.

A native of Ruston, he had lived in Shreveport, two and a halfyears. He was retired from the U. S. Army and was a member of BrookwoodBaptist Church.

Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Delphine M. Mixon ofShreveport; a son, Darold G. Mixon of Hot Springs, Ark., a sister, Mrs. InezShively, of Jonesboro; two daughters, Mrs. Charles M. Johnson of Shreveportand Mrs. B. K. Gordy of Houston, Tex.; and seven grandchildren.
