Sharon Fay Lacefield, 62, of Carrollton, Ky., died Friday, April 7, 2006, at Norton Audubon Hospital in Louisville, Ky.

She was born Sept. 27, 1943, in Madison, the daughter of Harold Fay and Sara Greene Shepherd. She was retired as a teacher at Carroll County Vocational School and was a registered nurse. She was a member of Carrollton Christian Church and the Red Hat Society.

Surviving are her husband, Ronald E. Lacefield; two sons, Craig Lacefield of Bedford, Ky., and Aaron Lacefield of Carrollton; two sisters, Diane Bickers of Florence, Ky., and Maureen Couch of Carrollton; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Services were at 11 a.m. today at Tandy-Eckler-Riley Funeral Home in Carrollton, with burial in the Carrollton IOOF Cemetery.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to Carrollton Christian Church, in care of the funeral home.
