Grav (cemetery) [1] From the Twin City News, Snohomish, Washington, 26 Jan 1939: Sevald (Sam) Lund passed away suddenly at his home in Cedarhome, Friday afternoon Jan. 20, where he suffered an apoplectic stroke from which he died in a few minutes.Mr. Lund was born in Skjaak, Gudbrandsdalen, Norway in 1876. He came to the United States in 1902 and located in Seattle. In 1905 he moved to Aberdeen where he was united in marriage to Pernille Horven. They moved to Milltown in 1906 where they resided until 1911, when they moved to their present home. The deceased leaves to mourn his death, his widow Mrs. Pernille Lund, two daughters, Mrs. Anne Gilbertson and Marian, and eight sons, Selmer, Oscar, Arthur, Palmer, Harold, Raymond, Eugene, and Gordon. Two sisters, Mrs. Oleanna Moe, Superior, Wisconsin and Mrs. Anne Skamser, Gudbrandsdalen, Norway, and three grandchildren also survive. Funeral services were held from the Milltown church, Rev. S. J. N. Ylvisaker officiating. Mrs. O. A. Soderlind and Miss Mabel Bull sang two songs accompanied by Miss Bull at the piano. The pallbearers were his six sons, Selmer, Oscar, Arthur, Harold, Palmer and Raymond. He was buried in the family plot in the Milltown cemetery. |
