1872 - Selina's death certificate indicates that she was the daughter of Robert WARD, jeweller, and her mother's name was not known. It indicated that she was born in Birmingham, England, and had been in Victoria for 18 years. She had married John CULLIS in Brighton, Victoria at the age of 18. Her children were named as: Adelaide Elizabeth 14; Ellen Maria [sic, should be Emma Maria] 12; Jane Finetta 11; Berry Trulan 6; Selina Elizabeth 5; John Edward 1. The child she gave birth to just before her death, Mary Elizabeth, died 19 days later on Christmas day. Selina's cause of death was given as Exhaustion after childbirth, 12 hours, and the death informant was John CULLIS, husband, of Monegetta.
