MRS. SARAH SECHRIST DIES AT BALLSTON HOME
BALLSTON, Feb. 5 – Sarah Amelia Sechrist, 76, died January 28 at her home here. She was born in Illinois in 1863, and was married to E.L. Sechrist in 1886.
The family moved to Ballston 28 years ago, where they had a store for many years.
She is survived by her husband and five children: Mrs. Essie Kitching and Mrs. Grace Sears of Oakland, Calif.; Mrs. Fay Shafer of Ballston, Jay of Salem and Orlo of Sheridan; fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services were held at the Methodist church in Sheridan, the Rev. Reece of Portland officiating, with burial in the Evergreen cemetery in McMinnville.
