Uncertainty about her parents

The identity of her parents is not absolutely certain from the available documentation (her birth record not being available online). Most of the available documentation states or implies that her parents were Charles Zang and Sarah Parker. However, she was born before Martha died (she couldn't have been born as late as Sep 1868 due to Frances's birth), and it would have been unsurprising if her mother died shortly after childbirth. Also, she was not with the family in the 1880 census, when she was only 13, which might indicate that she was the step-child of either Charles or Sarah and there were tensions (or just that they needed her to work as a domestic).

She appears to be named after her father's second wife. It is possible that she was Sarah's child by Charles before his first wife died, or by an unknown man. (It is also possible that she was Martha's child and her name was changed after her father's remarriage, as her brother David's name appears to have changed after the 1870 census.)

Based on the available evidence (census records and her death record that state that her father was born in Germany and her mother in England, and her second marriage record that names Charles Zang and Sarah Parker as her parents), she was the daughter of Charles Zang and Sarah Parker. However, in searching for her birth record, other possibilities should be checked.
