SARAH YOUNT was born on 7 May 1824 at Davidson County, North Carolina. She was the oldest of seven children, three girls and four boys.

She married WILLIAM REICHARD, son of JOHN REICHARD and ESTHER SULLIVAN, on 11 Aug 1844 at Davidson County, North Carolina, at the age of 20. They had eight children, five girls and three boys. She and WILLIAM REICHARD appeared on the census of 1850 at Davidson County, North Carolina. She and WILLIAM REICHARD appeared on the census of 1860 at Davidson County, North Carolina. The family moved to Indiana sometime between 1866 and 1869. Youngest daughter Bette is born in North Carolina in 1865 and they are in Indiana for the 1870 census. She and WILLIAM REICHARD appeared on the census of 1870 at Mill Creek Township, Fountain County, Indiana.

She died on 22 Sep 1896 at Fountain County, Indiana, at age 72.
