  4. Nathaniel Gunn's wife was almost certainly that Sarah Wheeler, daughter of Samuel & Mary (Brinsmade), born at Stratford 6 November 1710. Samuel Wheeler's second wife, and Sarah's step-mother, Lois (Hawkins) (Riggs) Wheeler was own sister to Agnes (Hawkins) Gunn, mother of Nathaniel. Sarah (Wheeler) Gunn's age as stated in the inscription on her gravestone at Naugatuck is strong confirmation of the relationship.
