    Sarah Ann West, daughter of Samuel and Margaret West, was born September 9, 1866 in Gilmore county, West Virginia and departed this life September 12, 1952 at her home near Logan, Kansas at the age of 86.

    She came to Phillips County, Kansas with her father following the death of her mother in 1873.

    She was united in marriage to Frank Reynolds at Phillipsburg, Kansas on January 14, 1884. To this union five children were born: Clara Lafferty of Logan; Nora George and Effie Baxter of Cour-d-lene [Coeur d'alene], Idaho, Mabel Marvin of Columbus, Montana and William Reynolds of Logan.

    She was preced in death by her husband on December 23, 1935. She leaves to mourn her departure her five children, four sons-in-law, one daughter-in-law, twelve grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Clara Crawmer of Speed, Kansas, one brother, William West of Spokane, Washington and a host of other relatives and friends.

    Funeral services were held at the Christian Church in Logan on September 16, 1952 with Rev. F.M. McDonald of Kensington, Kansas in charge and the Troup Mortuary directing. Interment was in the Logan Cemetery.
