    "Upson, … Sarah, d. [Benjamin & Mary], b. July 23, 1768 [1:344]"

According to The Upson Family in American, p. 38, all the children of Benjamin and Mary (Blakeslee) Upson were born in Northbury Parish which, prior to 1780 was part of the Town of Waterbury, New Haven County. In 1780, the Town of Watertown, which included both the Westbury and Northbury parishes of Waterbury, was set off from Waterbury and was placed under the jurisdiction of Litchfield County. In 1795, the former parish of Northbury was set off from the Town of Watertown and incorporated as the Town of Plymouth, also in Litchfield County. Thus, it would be accurate to say that Sarah Upson was born in Waterbury, New Haven Co., Connecticut (at the time she was born) or in Plymouth, Litchfield Co., Connecticut (present jurisdiction as of 2013).
