    Her maiden name is unknown, but she apparently remarried after Gabriel’s death to a Mr. Ricks, since her son’s estate refers to her as Widow Sarah Ricks. Joshua Hempstead's diary records that "old goodee Ricks" had either died or was buried on 30 Sep 1729, aged about 76.
