In the name of God Amen. I Sarah Hall of Henry County being sick and weak
but of perfect mind and memory thanks be to God for the same, but knowing
that it is appointed for all men to die do ordain this my last Will and
Testament in manner and form as followeth. In the first place I commit my
Body to the earth and my soul into the hands of Almighty God, and as to my
wordly Estate which it hath pleases Almighty God to Bless me in this life
with I dispose of in manner and form as followeth viz, I lend unto my
Beloved son Nathan Hall all my Negroes viz, George, Sarah, Rachel, Jane,
Daniel, Silvey, Charles, Price and Lijah and their increase during his life.
Likewise all my stock and household furniture. Except two cows. I give to my
said son and at my said sons decease I give the said Estate, Negroes etc
unto my Grand Children as my said son Nathan Hall shall see cause to divide
the same amongst my said Grand Children, but if my son should trade sell or
dispose hire or lend any part of the said Estate any where or to any Person
during his life or if any debt should come against my said son and take any
part of the said Estate or any part be sold by my son or any other person to
satifie any debt contracted by my said son, that then that part of the said
Estate then sold or conveyed out of the hands of my son I give unto my Grand
sons John, Randolph, Thomas Row and Jonathan to be equally divided between
them and their Heirs etc, as soon as it is known to be out of the hands or
possession of my said son Nathan Hall, and I do ordain and appoint my son
Nathan Hall as my whole and sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament
as Witness my hand and Seal this 23rd Day of March 1790. (NB Intest????
