Research notes
- Was her first name Sarah?
- per Terry: According to the "British Merchantile Claims" published in The Virginia Genealogist, edited by J. F. Dorman, vol 7 pg 110 (copies available online on NewEnglandAncestors.org), John Mims Senr, who died intestate in 1779, left a widow Sarah. His son John, b. 1731 is known to have married Sarah Horn. So was the John b. 1705 also married to a Sarah, or does the 1779 death record actually belong to John b. 1731?
- per Terry: According to User:Delijim, FamilySearch shows one of the submitters listed his wife as Sarah. Since no source has been identified showing this, I think it is best to show her as "Unknown" until some actual evidence is found.
