    Death of Mrs. Plake
Mrs. Sarah (Stucker) Plake was born in Jefferson county, Indiana, May 10, 1820 and died November 22, 1904. In 1837 she was married to Mr. William Plake, from which union there were twelve children, only five of whom survive her. In 1850 she with her husband united with the Baptist church in Jefferson county, to which faith she has remained until death. In 1873 she moved with her family to Franklin county and settled on a farm near Richter, and has made her home mainly in this county ever since, and Grandma Plake will be remembered in Ottawa as a hard worker. In 1886 her husband died since when she has made her home with her children, always thinking more of her children and grandchildren than herself.
