- The birth about 1667 and the death 3 Jul 1750 both belong to Robert and presumably reflect a lack of knowledge about Sarah, herself. There are two women named Sarah Shuttleworth having children in Wrentham, wife of Vincent and wife of Benjamin. Vincent d. 1759 ruling out his wife. Benjamin d. 1725 so his wife is a candidate. Church Records, Baptisms, Marriages and Deaths, 1638-1845, p. ix: "Benjamin Shuttleworth lived for a time in Stonington, Conn., and the church records of that place show the baptism of two children of Benjamin and Sarah Shuttleworth. He soon, however, returned to this vicinity, and settled in Wrentham, where the records show the births of numerous children..." Sarah Pond, widow, d. Wrentham 24 Feb 1769. If this is Robert's widow, it would indicate she was probably a fair amount younger than Robert.
