Ellen Anna is likely to have been the daughter of Henry William and Nancy Puryear as 1870 Pilot they are living with Martha Pike, a widow from the family of Henry's father's second wife Susanna Troxler Pike. Ellen Anna and Sarah Ellen are 2 different people; they have different graves and different sets of children. The ages of Sarah Ellen's Jones children and her one Lockhart child tally for her to have been the same person. The gravestone of Ellen Anna' husband helpfully lists the children (but leaves out 3 who are attested to by censuses. I think the confusion arose because everyone always assumed that a. Sarah Ellen was a daughter of Henry William and b. the 13 Jun 1852 marriage referred to Sarah Ellen. Is it possible that Sarah Ellen's husband was a different man named Jones? I am putting them as BOTH daughters of Henry William, then I'll see if that works.
