DEATH OF MRS. MARCHAND - We are pained to be called upon to chronicle the sudden death of this lady, who died at the residence of her daughter on Wednesday the 9th inst. We mentioned the fact four weeks since of her having had a limb amputated. She rallied thereafter and seemed to improve rapidly, and good hopes were entertained of her restoration to health, but she was taken unexpectedly worse, and expired as above stated.
Her remains were interred the following day in the old family burying ground. Mrs. M. was a woman well known and esteemed for her virtues by a wide circle of friends, and her death creates a mournful void that will long be felt.
