Sarah Moore, the second wife of John Harrod, Sr., was possibly the daughter of James Moore, Sr., and Frances (Gay) Moore, of Baltimore County, Maryland. Sarah (Moore) Harrod had a brother Simeon Moore, who lived in Frederick County, Maryland, and moved in 1767 to the Muddy Creek region in the present Greene County, Pennsylvania. Frances (Gay) Moore was the daugther of John and Frances (Ruxton) Gay.
