Mrs. Sarah E. Elsten, 65, of 1536 Brittain Street, Berwick, died at 4:44 p.m. Sunday, at Berwick Hospital where she had been a patient since Wednesday.
She was born in Nescopeck, the daughter of the late Myron and Getha Whitenight Miller. She made her home in Berwick the past nine years and had lived in the area all her life.
She is survived by the following children, Mrs. Joseph (Marqueen)Alley, Berwick; Mrs. William (Evelyn) Whitebread, Wapwallopen; James Elsten, Glenside; eight grandsons; five great grandchildren; three brothers, Lee Miller, Tucson, Arizona; Maynard Miller, Woodbridge, Va.; Boris Miller, Benton; six sisters:Mrs. Mary Dockey, Berwick R.D.2; Mrs. Albert (Beatrice) Clark, Berwick; Mrs. Ida Masker, Berwick R.D.1; Mrs. Gertrude Rowlands, Berwick; Mrs. Charles (Lurline) DeMarco, Baltimore, Md.; and Mrs. Lawrence (Leila) Dawson Jr., Wapwallopen R.D.2.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, from the Heller Funeral Home, Nescopeck, with Rev. A. Dean Wilson of Wesley United Methodist church, Nescopeck, officiating. Burial will be at Forest Lawn cemetery, Nescopeck.
