His wife dying, he again married a Mrs. Smith, (whose maiden name was Sarah Litton,) a native of Maryland. She had six children by her former husband. By this wife he had five children, three of whom are now living, Milvin being the only son. William moved to Marion county, Missouri and purchased some land. He died there in 1830. His widow, with Milvin and the youngest children returned to Kentucky, where they remained six years. The family, with the exception of Milvin, then went back to Marion county, where Mrs. Godman died, in 1854.
