Will of Sally Robinson

Know all men by these presents that in accordance with the will of my late husband James Robinson deceased. I Sally Robinson of the County of Edmondson & State of Kentucky being sound in mind do hereby make & ordain this my last will & testament. And do hereby reoke all former wills to wit:

1d. I give to my daughter Betsy the following __ viz, Washington Madison Caroline & children & Martha & her child one bed & furniture.

2nd. I give to my daughter Sally Jordan the following negroes viz. Jackson Lewis & Sally Ann & also my interest in teh carriage.

3rd. I give to my grand daughgter Mary Ellan Payne the following negroes Hamilton, Robert & Mildred.

4th. I wish my daughters to have my negroe man John during my life. And at my death I wish his value to be equally divided between my two daughters Elizabeth & Sally. As he has a wife & children, I do and wish him and publicbly but that he be allowed to choose __ of my daughters as his mistresses and be sold at valuation.

5th. I wish my old negro woman Suckey to have a home with my daughter Sally & if she lives after my death I wish here to be provided for by my __ daughters.

Given under my hand & seal this day of October 1853.

The foregoing writing purporting to be the last will & testament of Sally Robinson dec'd was at the last term produced in open Court & partially proven in due form of law by the oath of Jno. Y. Parker one of the subscribing witnesses thereto & at this term was fully proven in due form of law by the oath of Saml. Parker the other subscribing witness thereto. Whereupon the same was ___ to record as thereto last will & testament of sd. Sally Robinson dec.d
