    VERHAKE -- Mrs. Sarah Verhake, aged 64, passed away at her residence, 1045 Alexander, S.E., Wednesday morning. Surviving are the husband, Abel B. Verhake; two brothers, John Lappinga of Holland and Tobias Lappinga of Grand Rapids; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Van'tHof funeral Home. Burial in Rosedale Memorial Park. The body will repose at the residence until Saturday noon.

    Mrs. Sarah Lappinga VerHake, who has been seriously ill for some time, died this morning in her home at Grand Rapids. She formerly lived in this vicinity. Survivors include the husband, A. VerHake; two brothers, Tobias Lappinga of Grand Rapids and John Lappinga of Holland; and several nieces and nephews including Arthur L. Lappinga and Miss Jennie Lappinga of Holland and Mrs. Herbert Stanaway of Montello park.
    Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. from the Van't Hof Funeral home, West Leonard St. Grand Rapids, with burial in Grand Rapids Rosedale cemetery.
