Obituary Port Sheldon -- KLASS LAPPINGA an old resident of Port Sheldon community, died at 3:20 o'clock yesterday afternoon at the home of his son, Mr. and Mrs. Tobia Lappinga, in Walker township, route 7, Grand Rapids. He was 85 years old, at the time of his death, which came following a lingering illness. He lived on the lake shore for half a century and he is well known in this community. He came to this country from the Netherlands in 1866 and was engaged in farming until he retired because of old age. He is survived by the following children: Jon of Holland, Tobias of Grand Rapids, Mrs. William Hocklander of Holland, and Fred Haan of Ganges, Mich. In addition he is survived by 12 grandchildren. The body was brought to the Dykstra Funeral Home. Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at 1 o'clock from the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Lappinga, 133 West 15th street. Rev. L.
