Mrs. Bessie Brainerd Olney. DAR ID Number: 36927 Born in Rome, New York. Wife of William R. Olney. Descendant of Jeptha Brainerd, of Connecticut. Daughter of Jonathan Millard Brainerd and Sarah Caroline Knight, his wife. Granddaughter of Jeptha Brainerd and Eleanor Johnson, his wife. Gr.-granddaughter of Jonathan Brainerd and Eunice, his wife. Gr.-gr.-granddaughter of Jeptha Brainerd and Anna Fish, his wife. Jeptha Brainerd enlisted 1775, in Capt. Abraham Filer's company from Haddam where he was born 1749. He died on a British prison ship in New York harbor. Also Nos. 20026, 24159.
